Incense of the Bible - Frankincense A white, aromatic resin from a desert shrub, frankincense was of great importance and value to the ancient Hebrews. Produced in southwestern Arabia, India, and Abyssinia, it was the source of great wealth for traders along the spice route. For the Hebrews it was one of the four important ingredients of the "holy oil" used for anointing priests it was burned at the meal offering ceremony and was placed on shewbread. It is still much in use today in both Jewish and Christian reigious ceremonies.

This incense burns with the sweet and rich fragrance distinctive of desert frankincense. Approximately 18-20 sticks.
